Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Red House Media Ltd is the data controller for this website (lawmedia.uk). Registered office: 19 Gawsworth Road, Sale, M33 2UZ, United Kingdom. Company No. 17304731, registered in England & Wales.
For any question about your data, email [email protected] or call +44 7446 393 428.
2. What personal data we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, the services you tick, and the message you write.
- Correspondence: anything you subsequently send us by email or phone.
- Cookie preference: your Accept/Decline choice, stored in your browser's local storage (key
rhm_cookies) — it never leaves your device.
We do not collect payment details on this website, and we do not use profiling or automated decision-making.
3. Why we process it, and the lawful basis
| Purpose | Data | Lawful basis (Art. 6 UK GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry and preparing a proposal | Name, email, message, selected services | Legitimate interest — you initiated the contact (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Providing services once engaged | Contact and correspondence data | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Remembering your cookie choice | Local-storage preference | Legitimate interest — respecting your consent choice (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
4. How long we keep it
- Enquiry correspondence: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client contract and invoice records: 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as required by UK tax law.
- Cookie preference: stays in your browser until you clear it.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing. It is processed only by:
- Our email provider (Proton AG), which delivers and stores our correspondence;
- Our website hosting provider, which serves this site and keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested);
- Font and script CDNs (Fontshare, Cloudflare cdnjs) — your browser requests these files directly when the page loads; the request includes your IP address. They set no cookies on this site.
6. International transfers
We do not transfer your personal data outside the UK/EEA in the ordinary course of business. Where a CDN serves a file from a location outside the UK, the processing is limited to delivering the file and is protected by the provider's standard contractual clauses. We do not use US-based analytics or advertising tools on this site.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access a copy of your personal data;
- have inaccurate data rectified;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent, without affecting prior processing.
To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days, as required by UK GDPR. We may ask you to verify your identity first.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): www.ico.org.uk, or by phone on 0303 123 1113.
8. Cookies and local storage
This site sets no third-party cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. The full inventory:
| Name | Type | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
rhm_cookies | Local storage (essential) | This site | Remembers your Accept/Decline choice so the banner doesn't reappear | Until you clear your browser data |
The banner's "Accept" would only ever enable analytics if we add them; today nothing extra loads either way. To change or withdraw your choice, clear this site's data in your browser settings (usually under Privacy → Site data) — the banner will reappear on your next visit. You can also block or delete cookies for any site through your browser's settings.
9. Changes to this policy
Any change will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
